Two Long-Time Bitcoin Holders Awaken from Dormant Wallets
Two long-time Bitcoin holders, who purchased the cryptocurrency at an average price of $178 in 2009, have stirred from their slumber. According to Lookonchain, their combined holdings of 1,346 BTC are now valued at approximately $115 million, representing a staggering nearly 480-fold increase. The wallets, which had been quiet for years, have made small test transfers, with one sending 0.000505 BTC and the other sending 0.0005 BTC. These transactions, valued at $43.08 and $42.62 respectively, are seen as test transactions by Lookonchain.
The purchase history of the wallets stretches back 13 years, with Bitcoin deposits made in 2009. One of the wallets also shows an outgoing transfer of approximately 1 BTC made eight years ago. The recent activity is limited to these small transfers, with no indication that the entire holding has been moved or sold.
