U.S. Bank Completes Cross-Border Payment with Proprietary Stablecoin
U.S. Bank has successfully completed a cross-border payment using its proprietary USBDC stablecoin on the Stellar blockchain.
The pilot transaction involved moving funds between U.S. Bank entities in North America and Europe, with the USBDC issued and transferred on the public Stellar network.
The bank also tested the minting, redemption, freezing, and clawback functions of its proprietary stablecoin while integrating it with their existing risk, compliance, and operations systems.
This transaction validates U.S. Bank's internally developed Digital Asset Platform, which connects tokenized assets with its traditional banking infrastructure.
