The U.S. House of Representatives has canceled two weeks from its September legislative calendar, threatening the passage of the Clarity Act.

Katherine Kirkpatrick Bos, Head of Legal at Chainlink, called this delay 'devastating' for the bill.

The Clarity Act aims to establish a clear distinction between digital assets falling under the SEC and those under the CFTC, addressing a long-standing legal grey area that has hindered institutional adoption.

Without regulatory clarity, Chainlink's business model, built on integrating real-world data into smart contracts, is at risk of being frozen out from traditional financial markets.
