U.S. Government Bitcoin Transfer Sparks Fears Over Crypto Asset Management
A recent transfer of $377 worth of Bitcoin has reignited questions about what happens to seized crypto assets held by the U.S. government.
The tiny transaction, identified by blockchain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence on August 27, involved a wallet linked to Alameda Research's Binance.US accounts nearly three years ago.
The ambiguity surrounding the transfer has sparked concerns that the government might start liquidating the remaining Bitcoin holdings of Alameda, which were seized in connection with the FTX collapse.
