U.S. Spot Buyers Absent as Bitcoin Price Recovers
Bitcoin's price has recovered to $86,452 following a 2.98% increase in the last 24 hours, but one analyst is cautioning that the recovery may not be sustainable without confirmation from U.S. spot buyers.
CryptoQuant analyst MAC_D46035 notes that while aggregate demand is improving, the Coinbase Premium Index remains negative, indicating that U.S. institutional and retail spot buyers are not yet participating in the recovery.
The analyst highlights a two-chart divergence between apparent demand, which has been recovering since August 2025, and the Coinbase Premium Index, which has remained negative throughout the same period.
MAC_D46035 emphasizes that confirmation from U.S. spot buyers is crucial for sustaining the price recovery, as it has historically been the most reliable signal of durable, conviction-based buying.
