UAE Positions Itself as Hub for Tokenised Securities

Share

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is rapidly building the necessary infrastructure to move conventional financial assets onto blockchain networks.

One significant sign of this transition came in August when Coinbase received permission from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) to establish an international tokenisation hub at Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).

This approval allows Coinbase to arrange investment deals and provide custody services related to tokenised securities, placing the UAE at the center of its efforts to bring more conventional capital-market products onto blockchain.

The UAE is positioning blockchain as financial infrastructure capable of changing how securities, private funds, and other real-world assets are issued, held, and transferred.
