Ukraine Climbs Cryptocurrency Adoption Ranks
According to Chainalysis's Global Crypto Adoption Index 2026, Ukraine has moved up one spot from eighth to seventh in the global ranking of cryptocurrency adoption.
The study covers the period from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. This year, Chainalysis changed its methodology for calculating the index, which now considers four key indicators: the volume of cryptocurrency service usage, domestic P2P transactions, cross-border cryptocurrency transfers, and the volume of crypto assets stored on-chain.
In individual components, Ukraine ranked eighth in terms of cryptocurrency service usage and on-chain balances. However, it ranked sixth in both domestic P2P activity and cross-border flows.
Despite a 50% drop in global cryptocurrency market capitalization during the study period, overall activity in the crypto economy remained relatively stable, decreasing by only 1.6% to $9.4 trillion.
