Ulbricht Thanks Trump for Freedom, But Should We Be Thankful?

Ross Ulbricht, also known as Dread Pirate Roberts, thanked Donald Trump for freeing him from prison. However, the question remains whether we should be thankful.

Silk Road, a notorious online black market, was launched by Ulbricht in January 2011. The platform allowed users to buy and sell illegal goods, including drugs, using Bitcoin as the currency of exchange.

Ulbricht's journey began with his failed startups and his conviction that government was the greatest obstacle facing modern civilization. He believed people were fundamentally good and wanted to create a free marketplace where anyone could buy and sell anything.

When Ulbricht discovered Bitcoin in 2010, he saw an opportunity to make his vision a reality. He created Silk Road, which quickly gained popularity after Gawker's article highlighted its existence.
