Umia Protocol Revolutionizes Token Launches with Open Auctions
Umia is an on-chain venture protocol that enables founders to launch their tokens through an open auction. The funds raised are held in a treasury contract, with the founding team receiving a monthly allowance for development and go-to-market expenses. This allowance is set at formation and paid out automatically.
The fundraising process uses Tailored Auction, a configuration of Uniswap's Continuous Clearing Auction (CCA), which discovers the token's price over a set window with refundable bids. Part of the sale can be reserved for the project's own community, who must prove their qualifications through zkTLS proofs generated in their browser without revealing their identity or data.
Once launched, governance runs on decision markets that allow more than two outcomes to trade as conditional markets. The outcome with the highest time-weighted average price executes on-chain, allowing token holders to direct the protocol's non-custodial treasury and strategic direction through these markets.
