$UMIA Token Auction Opens on Umia's Venture Creation Platform
Umia, the venture creation platform on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), has opened its token auction for $UMIA. The first token launched through Umia's own system, it's now available to bid on from August 29th to September 2nd on Base via umia.finance.
The platform aims to bring a new framework to life, making tokens real financial primitives. Unlike many crypto projects where equity holds direct control over revenue and IP, Umia structures every project as a Sub Company within a Cayman Segregated Portfolio Company built on the MetaLex BORG framework.
This setup removes the need for foundations, DAOs, or labs splits, allowing the IP, operating team, and treasury to sit under one structure. Decision markets govern board-level choices, estimating the project's value under each option and only executing a proposal if it values the project higher with it than without it.
The $UMIA token sale runs on Umia's native auction protocol, building on Uniswap's Continuous Clearing Auction design. Bidders submit a budget and maximum price; all bids clearing at a given moment pay the same price, and unspent budget is refunded.
