Umia Token Valuation Soars to $40 Million Post-Auction
Umia, a platform designed to help crypto founders raise funds, launch tokens, and engage token holders in governance, has completed a successful public auction of its native UMIA token. On October 5, 2026, the project announced it raised approximately $6.11 million through the auction, which was backed by notable investors like Galaxy Ventures, DCG, and Draper Associates. Post-auction trading saw the project's valuation roughly double, reaching between $34 million and $40 million.
The seven-day auction, held from August 26 to September 2, 2026, sold 17.3 million tokens, representing 34.6% of the initial 40 million token supply. The auction priced the project at a fully diluted valuation of $18 million, but demand pushed the price to $0.36, exceeding the minimum target by three times. Investors, including nearly 700 individual participants, competed on equal terms.
After the auction, the UMIA token began trading around $0.68, giving early buyers nearly 90% paper gains. The project ensured liquidity by making all tokens immediately tradable and dedicating 20% of the auction proceeds to a protocol-owned liquidity pool, avoiding reliance on external market makers.
Umia aims to provide infrastructure for launching, funding, and governing token-native projects. It offers a shared legal structure, onchain auctions, and futarchy-style prediction markets to guide decisions. The team behind Umia previously built Chainbound, focusing on integrated solutions for token-native ventures. The first external projects on the platform are expected to launch in Q4 2026.
