Unconfirmed Ransom Demand in Bitcoin Rocks Nancy Guthrie's Six-Month Disappearance

Nancy Guthrie, an 84-year-old woman, has been missing for six months. Recently, reports emerged of a new ransom demand made in Bitcoin, but officials have not confirmed this.

According to Michael Ruiz, a reporter at Fox News, he reached out to multiple sources from federal to county levels and none had heard about the alleged new demand for Bitcoin.

Ruiz stated that the claim is 'at best, unconfirmed' and that the ransom notes received by Guthrie's family were reviewed. Pima County Sheriff's Department released these notes in July.

Retired investigator Lisa Miller suggested that the ransom notes may not have been generated by artificial intelligence due to a mistake present in the content. She attributed this to 'idiolect,' which refers to an individual's unique style of communication influenced by their environment, upbringing, and language usage.
