UNI Breakout Sets Stage for Potential 80% Price Surge
Uniswap's native token UNI has broken out of a giant falling wedge pattern on its weekly chart, potentially setting the stage for a significant price increase. The breakout occurred in August and has been followed by a rapid rise in price, with UNI trading as high as $7.065, up over 200% from its June lows.
The falling wedge pattern developed after UNI peaked near $19.50 in late 2024, forming a sequence of lower highs and lower lows within two converging descending trendlines. The token has also reclaimed its 20-week, 50-week, and 100-week exponential moving averages (EMAs), currently located around $4.59, $4.89, and $5.91, respectively.
According to the source, a decisive weekly close above the 200-week EMA near $7.78 could strengthen the falling wedge breakout and open the door toward approximately $12.70, corresponding with the 0.236 Fibonacci retracement level. This would represent an increase of roughly 80%-83% from current prices.
