UNI Jumps 22% as DeFi Interest Resurges with New Fees on Tap
Uniswap's UNI token has surged over 10% in 24 hours and about 22% for the week, as traders returned to decentralized finance (DeFi) after months of weak momentum.
This uptick comes on the heels of Uniswap DAO voting to reclaim 12.5 million UNI delegated through the Franchiser system and return the tokens to their rightful holders.
Additionally, a recent proposal aims to activate protocol fees across eight Layer 2 (L2) networks, potentially adding $27M in annualized revenue for UNI holders.
