UNI Surges 15% as Spot Demand Fuels Breakout
Uniswap's UNI price surged by 15% following CME Group's announcement of its planned futures activity, which will launch on October 19th. The spot volume increased 72.33% to $2.14 billion after the catalyst, with buyers maintaining control of market participation.
The Spot Taker CVD metric indicated buyer dominance, while the Futures traders became less resistant to UNI's price advance. Two wallets accumulated substantial UNI positions during the rally, buying a total of 407,919 UNI worth $4.07 million.
However, UNI now faces resistance at around $11, which it has previously tested without breaking through. The weekly RSI climbed to 75.98, pushing firmly into overbought territory, but the expanding MACD structure supports UNI's push towards its major resistance.
