The cryptocurrency market saw Uniswap's (UNI) price surge by 28% over the past 24 hours, reaching $8.76 as of September 18th at 12:32 UTC.

This rally comes on the heels of a new U.S. regulatory framework for tokenized stocks, which allows permissioned automated market makers to trade qualifying tokenized National Market System (NMS) stocks through permissionless distributed ledgers.

The SEC's Innovation Exemption grants temporary and conditional relief to Tokenized Securities Venues (TSVs), allowing them to facilitate trading in tokenized NMS stocks through permissioned AMM liquidity pools without being treated as exchanges under the Exchange Act.

Uniswap v4, which already supports Permissioned Pools with issuer-controlled allowlists, is well-positioned to take advantage of this new framework. The protocol's infrastructure was developed for regulated assets, including tokenized securities, equities, and funds.
