UniCredit Seeks Tech Partner for Crypto Trading Infrastructure

Share

UniCredit Bank is exploring opportunities to expand its services into the digital asset space. The Italian bank has reportedly begun discussions with technology providers to build infrastructure for crypto trading, custody, and access to tokenized investment products.

According to sources familiar with the matter, UniCredit's areas of interest include crypto custody and brokerage capabilities, as well as tokenized investment products and stablecoin-based fixed-income securities.

The bank's move into digital assets is still in its early stages, and it remains unclear which technology provider will be selected to fill this infrastructure gap. Cointelegraph has reached out to UniCredit for comment on the matter.
