Uniswap Dominates Stablecoin Trading Ahead of Arc's High-Stakes Launch
Uniswap has become the top destination for stablecoin trading on EVM-compatible chains, processing 57% of that volume as of September. This dominance comes just ahead of Arc's public mainnet launch on September 16.
The timing is not coincidental, as Uniswap will be providing swap infrastructure and liquidity on Arc from day one. Arc is a Layer-1 blockchain designed specifically for stablecoin applications, real-time payments, tokenization, and institutional finance.
Uniswap's integration with Arc gives the protocol an instant advantage on this new chain, rather than waiting for organic liquidity to develop. The cumulative trading volume of Uniswap has surpassed $4.4 trillion, while its stablecoin market share has grown by 14 percentage points in a matter of months.
Arc's founding validators include BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard, and Standard Chartered, which plans to deploy its BUIDL tokenized fund on Arc using native USDC. Over 100 builders are already active on Arc's private mainnet as of August.
