Uniswap Dominates Tokenized Stock Trading on DEXs with $17.1 Billion in Volume
Tokenized stock trading on decentralized exchanges (DEXs) has experienced a significant surge in 2026, with trading volume growing 10,163.7% year-over-year to $48.7 billion. Uniswap led the field, handling $17.1 billion in tokenized stock trading, which accounts for 60.1% of the market share.
Uniswap's v4 and v3 deployments together captured 60.1% of the market, with v4 alone holding 40.7% and v3 holding 19.4%. The quarterly numbers show that tokenized stock DEX volume reached $7.8 billion in Q3 2026.
The infrastructure behind the boom includes the launch of Robinhood Chain in July 2026, which surpassed $3 billion in cumulative tokenized stock volume by late September. Uniswap introduced Permissioned Pools in v4, a feature built for regulated assets, which gives issuers a way to use Uniswap's liquidity without ignoring securities compliance obligations.
The appeal of tokenized stocks on DEXs comes down to access and hours, as traditional exchanges close for evenings, weekends, and holidays, while these markets can run 24/7. However, the practical consideration for investors is compliance and operational risk, as a tokenized share is only as reliable as the structure behind it.
