Uniswap Hooks Up Stablecoin Traders with New Fee System
Uniswap Labs has released a new tool for stablecoin trading on Uniswap v4, called StablePair Hook. This feature is designed to provide consistent and predictable quotes for traders when swapping stablecoins.
The introduction of StablePair Hook comes as stablecoin swaps on Uniswap reached $43.4 billion in Q2. The system replaces fixed fees with changing fees based on each pool's price movement.
Trades that push prices away from their targets can pay no fee, while restoring trades use falling fees. The first pools supported by StablePair Hook include USD Coin (CRYPTO:USDC), Tether (CRYPTO:USDT) and Global Dollar (CRYPTO:USDG) on Ethereum.
Uniswap has processed over $38 billion through v4 hooks, with more than 90,000 hooks across 20 chains. According to Uniswap Labs, StablePair Hook gives traders consistent quotes and LPs a bigger share of the value they create.
