Uniswap Labs Bolsters Hook Support with AI-Assisted Security Tool
Uniswap Labs has introduced a comprehensive suite of tools to support developers building on Uniswap v4 hooks. The package includes dedicated API access, a public hook registry, security review partnerships, and direct integration into the Uniswap interface.
Hooks are external smart contracts that can inject custom logic before or after key pool actions like swaps or liquidity additions. They enable features such as dynamic fees, custom pricing curves, and oracle integrations without touching the core protocol code.
The new tools are designed to make building on Uniswap v4 hooks less painful for developers. The public hooklist repository serves as a registry of deployed v4 hooks complete with metadata and audit links. Developers can submit their hooks via GitHub issues, giving the ecosystem a centralized place to find, evaluate, and integrate third-party hook implementations.
Uniswap has also launched an AI-assisted plugin called uniswap-hooks that provides security guidance and threat modeling specifically tailored to developers working with v4 hooks. The tool arrived roughly six weeks after the Uniswap Foundation published its Self-Directed Security Framework around June 1, 2026.
The integration of hooks into the Uniswap interface is perhaps the most practically significant change. Hook-compatible pools show up in liquidity provision flows and automatic swap routing, making it easier for users to find better rates.
