Uniswap Price Pulls Back After 50% Surge Amid CME Futures Launch Plans
Uniswap's price has pulled back to $9.53 after reaching an intraday high of $10.90 on Sept. 23, a 50% surge over the past week.
The token had already climbed from close to $6 on Sept. 17 to around $9 before the latest move, and its seven-day gains have left it well ahead of Bitcoin over the same period.
The CME Group's plans to introduce regulated Uniswap futures have provided a catalyst for the rally, with derivatives positioning rising alongside the spot market.
Uniswap's protocol fee mechanism also provides a fundamental driver behind the recent price narrative, with governance participants considering extending protocol fees to Arc, Circle's Layer 1 network.
