Uniswap Smashes $70B Monthly Trading Volume Barrier with v4 Surge
Uniswap has surpassed $70 billion in monthly trading volume on decentralized exchanges (DEX), according to data from DeFiLlama. This figure includes transaction volumes for various versions of the protocol and blockchains that support them.
The total volume is higher than the one shown by Uniswap itself, with v4 reaching close to $38 billion in 30-day trading volume, followed by v3 at around $32 billion. The 30-day trading volume of v2 exceeded $1.2 billion.
Uniswap Labs rolled out its v2, v3, and v4 on Robinhood Chain in July, which has become a significant platform for DEX trading. In the latest snapshot, DeFiLlama noted that the 24-hour DEX trading volume on Robinhood Chain was around $1.35 billion, with a 7-day trading volume of approximately $12.19 billion.
The high protocol utilization did not translate into same-day profit for UNI holders, as the governance token price dropped slightly by 2.55% over the past 24 hours to around $6.24 on September 13.
