Uniswap Surges as Tokenized Stock Deposits Reach New Heights
Uniswap has taken the lead in tokenized stock deposits, attracting $82.8 million over the past 30 days. This surge positions it as the primary platform for trading Apple and Tesla shares without using a traditional brokerage account.
The majority of these deposits, $54.7 million, went into Uniswap's V4 deployment, which boasts $59.1 million in total value locked (TVL) for tokenized stocks as of early September. This figure surpasses Kamino Lend on Solana at $41.7 million and Uniswap V3 at $20.9 million.
Uniswap's V4 deployment introduced 'hooks,' which allow developers to customize how liquidity pools behave. For tokenized securities, this means that pools can enforce KYC requirements, restrict access to verified wallets, or adjust fee structures without compromising the permissionless architecture of DeFi.
