Uniswap Tokenized Stock Volume Hits $1B on Robinhood Chain
Uniswap's tokenized stock volume on Robinhood Chain has surpassed $1 billion for the first time, according to founder Hayden Adams. This milestone marks a significant increase from the previous update of $638.5 million in stock-token volume.
The $1 billion figure represents cumulative swaps involving multiple tokenized stocks rather than one token or deposited assets. Uniswap's combined trading volume on Robinhood Chain is expected to reach $1 trillion, although Adams did not provide a timeframe for this projection.
The growth in tokenized-stock trading can be attributed to the launch of Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum layer-2 network built with Arbitrum technology, which opened its public mainnet on July 1. Uniswap v2, v3, v4, and UniswapX became available on the network from its first day.
The integration of tokenized stocks on Robinhood Chain has led to a significant increase in trading activity, with a daily trading volume of $500 million recorded just eight days after launch. The cumulative Uniswap volume across all asset categories passed $1 billion by July 10.
