Uniswap Labs has introduced Aggregator Hooks, a new feature for its Uniswap v4 protocol that integrates external liquidity sources into Uniswap pools. The feature is now live on mainnet, Base, and Robinhood Chain through the Uniswap Web App and API. At launch, it covers seven sources, representing over 90% of all decentralized exchange (DEX) activity on these chains.
Aggregator Hooks work by wrapping external liquidity sources in Uniswap v4 hooks, making them appear as Uniswap pools to any router. The system pulls fresh quotes from connected sources every block, building the most efficient swap route across Uniswap pools and external sources. This process settles in a single transaction, requiring no new approvals from users.
Swaps on the Uniswap Web App now automatically include external liquidity sources. Developers can also route through Aggregator Hooks using the Uniswap API. The feature aims to bring more liquidity into the Uniswap Protocol, which has processed over $4.5 trillion in swaps, while also contributing to protocol fee burns.
Uniswap Labs, the core contributor to the Uniswap Protocol, continues to build products trusted by millions of users and leading financial institutions. The protocol remains the largest decentralized exchange by volume, with over $4.6 trillion in all-time trading volume.
