Uniswap v4 Debuts Permissioned Pools for Regulated Securities
Uniswap Labs has launched Permissioned Pools, a new standard operating on Uniswap v4 that allows issuers of regulated securities to restrict liquidity access and trading exclusively to approved wallets. This framework enables issuers to maintain fully on-chain execution while verifying investor eligibility prior to executing any swap or processing a liquidity position.
Industry entities Superstate, Securitize, and European digital securities platform Dowgo have joined as launch partners to help design the standard for permissioned assets. These partners assisted in shaping the framework, offering issuers a reliable method to manage allowlists without requiring them to build separate trading venues.
Ken Ng, head of ecosystem at Uniswap Labs, highlighted that the structure empowers issuers to enforce their regulatory requirements without constructing standalone trading infrastructure. Superstate CEO Robert Leshner characterized the pool-level compliance design as a missing plumbing component for the broader tokenization ecosystem.
