United Eyes Robinson for Budget-Friendly Left-Back Fix

Manchester United is exploring a budget-friendly solution to its left-back conundrum by targeting Fulham's Antonee Robinson. The 28-year-old American international, valued at around £28 million, fits the club's value proposition and delivers immediate impact.

The estimated price tag for Robinson is roughly half that of Newcastle's Lewis Hall, who has a reported valuation of £50 million. This significant difference in cost makes Robinson an attractive option for United, which has historically paid a premium for players.

Robinson joined Fulham from Wigan in 2020 for a fee of £2 million and has since become a regular with the USMNT. His contract with Fulham runs through 2028/2029, giving the club leverage in any negotiations.

Fulham would see a significant return on their investment if they sell Robinson for around £28 million, a 14x return on their initial outlay. However, securing an adequate replacement at a reasonable price becomes the question for the west London club.
