Onchain statistics show an 'unknown' entity has mined nearly 30% of Bitcoin's blocks since its launch, according to Cloverpool. This figure surpasses named pools like Antpool and F2pool.

The unknown label covers two distinct groups: solo miners and small operations that never inserted identifying tags into the coinbase message, as well as Bitcoin's earliest years when pooled mining didn't exist.

Antpool ranks second with 109,004 blocks, or 11.35% of the total, followed by F2pool with 98,148 blocks mined, about 10.22% of all blocks discovered.
