Upbit Delists ICX/KRW Amid Ongoing Security Concerns
Crypto exchange Upbit has announced it will delist ICX/KRW on October 19, citing unresolved security concerns. The move follows a previous designation of ICON as an investment caution asset due to ongoing security issues. According to Upbit, the reasons for the decision remained unresolved after the earlier caution designation.
The exchange will cancel outstanding orders at 3:00 p.m. Korea Standard Time on October 19 and allow ICX withdrawals until November 18. This marks the latest in a series of token removals by Upbit, which has also delisted JASMY, Storj, and ThunderCore due to various shortcomings.
Earlier this year, Upbit announced it would terminate support for these tokens, citing risks to users and issues with disclosures, business fundamentals, viability, and proof of progress. The exchange will not support airdrops, wallet upgrades, or hard forks for the affected assets.
