Upbit Delists ICX/KRW Over Unresolved Security Concerns
The cryptocurrency exchange Upbit has announced plans to delist ICX/KRW due to unresolved security concerns. The pair will no longer be tradable starting October 19, and users with outstanding orders will have them automatically cancelled. However, holders can continue withdrawing their tokens until November 18.
According to Upbit, the reasons behind the decision remained unresolved following an earlier caution designation. This marks the second time this month that the exchange has removed a trading pair due to security concerns. In its previous announcement, Upbit cited issues with JASMY, Storj, and ThunderCore, including disclosures, business fundamentals, viability, and proof of progress.
Upbit's decision to delist ICX/KRW comes after a strong price movement in the yen stablecoin JPYC. Following its listing on the exchange, JPYC rose 197.5% to 35.7 won before later returning to around eight won.
