Upbit Lists Global Dollar Stablecoin for Trading Against KRW, BTC, and USDT
South Korea's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Upbit, has listed Global Dollar (USDG), a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar. The new listing allows trading against three major pairs: the South Korean won (KRW), Bitcoin (BTC), and Tether (USDT).
Deposits and withdrawals for USDG are now supported, and trading commenced simultaneously on all three markets at 5:00 a.m. UTC today. The exchange has not disclosed any specific restrictions or initial price bands.
This move adds USDG to Upbit's growing roster of stablecoins, which already includes USDT, USDC, and DAI. Global Dollar is issued by a consortium and aims to provide a transparent, regulated stablecoin option for traders.
