Upbit Rapidly Expands Token Listings with Cluster Protocol and Hemi
South Korean exchange Upbit has rapidly expanded its token listings, adding three new assets in one day. Cluster Protocol's CP, Hemi's HEMI, and meme token USELESS went live on September 8, 2026. CP trading began around 8:30 AM KST with three pairs available: CP/KRW, CP/BTC, and CP/USDT. Bithumb, the second-largest exchange in South Korea, mirrored this listing with its own CP/KRW support later that day.
HEMI and USELESS followed suit in the evening, with BTC and USDT pairs going live at 9:30 PM KST. Cluster Protocol's AI-infrastructure-focused token has a fixed maximum supply of 5 billion, with approximately 1.37 billion tokens already in circulation, representing about 27.38% of the total.
The Hemi network's native token, HEMI, is used for transaction fees and governance on the Ethereum-compatible Layer 2 platform. Co-founded by notable figures including former Bitcoin Core developer Jeff Garzik, Hemi aims to merge Ethereum's programmability with Bitcoin's security through its Proof-of-Proof consensus mechanism.
USELESS is a Solana-based meme token that launched without any team allocation or presale. The fair-launch model gives early buyers no structural advantage over others in terms of access to the token.
