Upbit to Delist Ravencoin on October 12 Amid Consensus Bug Concerns
The South Korean exchange Upbit has announced that it will delist Ravencoin (RVN) on October 12, 2026, at 3 p.m. Korean time (KST), or 8 a.m. in Germany. This move will affect the three RVN markets on the exchange, including RVN against the Korean won, RVN against Bitcoin, and RVN against the dollar stablecoin USDT. As a result, RVN will lose the trading venue that has carried the largest share of global daily volume, which is approximately 57%.
Upbit had previously announced the end of trading support for Ravencoin on September 10. The exchange had classified Ravencoin as a project under a trading warning on August 11, following a review of the token's security after a consensus bug was discovered. The bug, which was exploited from August 7, 2026, allowed for manipulated blocks to be accepted by the network without performing the actual computational work.
The delisting of Ravencoin on Upbit is part of a larger wave of exchanges that have taken action against the token. Bitvavo removed Ravencoin from trading on September 18, and Bithumb has also placed the token on a delisting watchlist. The liquidity of RVN will likely be significantly impacted by the delisting on Upbit, as the exchange accounted for the majority of the token's trading volume.
