US-Based Threat Actor Tied to $5M in Thefts Through Impersonation Scams
ZachXBT, a prominent blockchain investigator, has identified Tiffany Milanovich as a US-based threat actor tied to at least $5 million in thefts through hardware wallet and centralized exchange support impersonation scams.
Milanovich allegedly worked as a 'caller' posing as exchange or wallet support, convincing victims to give up access to their funds. She reportedly recorded herself taunting victims on calls after draining their accounts.
One of the thefts occurred in June 2026, when a victim lost $1.2 million in BTC and ETH after Milanovich and her group drained a Trezor wallet. The theft followed a spoofed BitcoinIRA email sent under the alias 'Patricia Massie.'
ZachXBT claims that most of the stolen funds have not moved and remain dormant.
