US Blocks Iranian Shipping as Markets Price in Airspace Closure
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed that an E/A-18G aircraft launched from the USS George H.W. Bush was involved in enforcing a blockade against Iran in the Arabian Sea.
CENTCOM reported that as of September 7, forces have redirected 94 commercial vessels, disabled three, and boarded two to ensure compliance with the blockade.
This military activity is part of the ongoing U.S.-Iran maritime confrontation, with heightened operations suggesting a significant military posture rather than routine patrols.
