US Court Freezes More Stolen Crypto in Bybit Hack Lawsuit
Bybit's civil lawsuit against North Korea and its alleged hacking group, Lazarus Group, has taken another turn as a US court granted a preliminary injunction freezing identified assets tied to unnamed defendants.
The exchange claims about $48.4 million of the stolen funds have been recovered so far, while around $30.5 million remains frozen across over 28 exchanges and custodians.
According to Chainalysis, North Korean hackers stole at least $2.02 billion in crypto during 2025, with the February Bybit attack driving most of that total.
