US Crypto Builders Flee Regulatory Uncertainty

Hayden Adams, founder of Uniswap, expressed concerns about regulatory uncertainty in the US during a recent CFTC Innovation Advisory Committee meeting.

The meeting, held on August 20, was a forum for discussion and gathering input from industry experts as policymakers debate crypto market structure, token rules, DeFi oversight, and agency boundaries.

Adams warned that regulatory uncertainty is pushing US-based crypto builders and developers overseas, where there are more defined rules. He emphasized that unclear regulations can create legal risks without a clear compliance path, causing some companies to relocate or build for non-US markets first.

This shift in talent, capital, and innovation could ultimately result in the US regulating a market that has already developed elsewhere.
