US Crypto Rules Gain Momentum as Regulators Shape Digital-Asset Regulations
The U.S. crypto market is entering a new regulatory phase as federal agencies continue developing rules despite a recent setback in the Senate. The SEC and CFTC have been actively shaping digital-asset regulations through both congressional action and agency rulemaking.
Five blockchain projects - SUI, SEI, NEAR, HBAR, and ICP - are part of this evolving space, each with unique technical objectives and approaches for their ecosystem. These projects range from decentralized finance and trading infrastructure to enterprise use and decentralized computing.
SUI is a Layer-1 blockchain designed for fast transactions and scalable applications, while SEI targets trading and financial applications. NEAR provides infrastructure for decentralized applications with an emphasis on usability and interoperability. HBAR maintains an enterprise-focused approach using a hashgraph-based distributed ledger. Internet Computer takes a different approach by providing infrastructure for decentralized computing.
The regulatory developments are only one market factor, alongside adoption, liquidity, network activity, competition, and macroeconomic conditions. As the U.S. crypto market continues to evolve, these blockchain projects will remain part of the wider market discussion.
