US Exchanges Open Up to Smaller-Cap Altcoins XDC Network, BEAM, and COTI
The XDC Network, BEAM, and COTI are smaller-cap altcoins that can be challenging to buy in the US due to varying exchange availability. However, a few major exchanges support these tokens, making it possible for US residents to purchase them.
XDC Network is an enterprise-grade blockchain built on Delegated Proof-of-Stake consensus, targeting the $34 trillion global trade market with solutions for cross-border payments, supply chain tracking, and real-world asset tokenization. Kraken is the primary US-accessible centralized exchange for XDC, offering a dedicated XDC/USD pair with approximately $3.3 million in daily volume.
BEAM operates as a gaming-focused blockchain ecosystem built on an Avalanche subnet, rebranded from Merit Circle DAO. Coinbase added BEAM to its listing roadmap in December 2025 and now supports direct purchases for US customers, while Binance lists the token under the ticker BEAMX with under $1 million in daily volume.
COTI is building a privacy-focused Layer 2 on Ethereum using garbled circuits cryptography. The COTI V2 upgrade enables private RWA tokenization and compliant decentralized finance applications. Coinbase supports COTI exclusively on the Ethereum blockchain as an ERC-20 token, while Kraken offers a dedicated COTI/USD trading pair with approximately $420,000 in daily volume.
