The US Department of Justice has confiscated over $560,000 in cryptocurrencies linked to Hamas and its military wing, the al-Qassam Brigades.
A court order on September 1 authorized the FBI to seize the funds, which were part of a fundraising operation by Hamas.
The seizure marks another significant example of law enforcement's growing ability to track and disrupt cryptocurrency-related illicit activities.
