US Treasury Yield Hits 24-Year High as Bitcoin Breaks Free from Stock Market
The US Treasury yield has reached its highest level since May 2002 at 5.28 percent, while Bitcoin is trading independently of the S&P 500 for the first time since 2015.
This shift in market dynamics may impact investment strategies, particularly for German investors who face a yield gap between the ten-year US note and the ten-year Bund.
According to André Dragosch, head of research for Europe at Bitwise, the correlation between Bitcoin and US equities is at its lowest level since 2015, indicating that Bitcoin's value is no longer directly tied to stock market performance.
