US Workers Overwhelmingly Oppose Crypto in Workplace Retirement Plans

Share

A recent survey conducted by the National Institute on Retirement Security found that 53% of Americans oppose employers offering cryptocurrency in workplace retirement plans.

The same survey also revealed that 77% of respondents consider such investments risky, with 46% describing them as 'very risky'.

This opposition is not limited to people who reject digital assets altogether. The survey found that concerns over retirement security have increased even as workplace plans remain one of the main savings tools available to US employees.

The findings also indicate that financial pressure plays a significant role in respondents' views on crypto and retirement planning. With more than three-quarters saying debt hurts their ability to save, the survey highlights the challenges faced by Americans in preparing for retirement.
