USBC Secures Additional $3 Million Loan Backed by Bitcoin Collateral
USBC Inc., a company with a market capitalization of $173 million and shares trading at $0.46, has secured an additional $3 million loan backed by Bitcoin collateral. The loan is part of the company's Master Loan Agreement with Payward Interactive, Inc., which allows USBC to borrow up to $25 million in aggregate principal over a 12-month period.
The new borrowing, referred to as the 'Fifth Draw,' was executed on September 11 under the agreement originally dated March 18, 2026. The outstanding loans bear an annual interest rate of 8.5% and will mature on September 11, 2027, unless terminated earlier according to the agreement's terms.
The borrowings are secured exclusively by Bitcoin, with 479 units held in custody by Payward Financial, Inc., an affiliate of the lender. The collateral is governed by an account control agreement among USBC, Payward Interactive, and the custodian, and is subject to margin requirements and liquidation provisions should the collateral value drop below specified thresholds.
