The integration of USDC stablecoin on Bitcoin via Alpen is set to revolutionize the way users access dollar liquidity without moving their BTC. This partnership, in collaboration with Circle, aims to bring native dollar markets directly to the Bitcoin network.

Alpen's innovative use of zero-knowledge verification and Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) enables EVM-compatible lending, borrowing, and trading built around native $BTC without the need for bridged or synthetic stablecoins. This approach eliminates the risks associated with cross-chain bridges and wrapper contract vulnerabilities.

$USDC on Alpen will be issued by regulated affiliates of Circle, ensuring that it carries the same backing and redemption standards as USDC on other supported networks.
