UsePaid Pauses X Money Payouts Amid Surge in Creator Fees
UsePaid is a fee bridge that connects on-chain trading activity to an ordinary payment rail. It allows creators of tokens to send their fees to someone else, such as a streamer or developer, and pay them in dollars through X Money.
The process works as follows: the deployer sends 100% of creator fees to the UsePaid treasury, which then claims accrued fees on a schedule. The recipient is paid 80% in dollars through X Money, while the remaining 20% is used to buy and burn $PAID tokens.
UsePaid supports two live venues: Pumpfun On Solana and pons(.)family On Robinhood Chain. It has not yet supported BNB Chain's four.meme, although it is being explored.
Recently, UsePaid paused X Money payments due to a volume spike that reached $1.54 million in claimed fees. The project assured users that existing balances are safe and fees will continue to accrue, with a web claims portal available as an interim option.
