Utexo Brings USDT to Bitcoin Network in Bid to Enhance Crypto Infrastructure
Utexo, a Tether-backed payments infrastructure project, is set to launch USDT on the Bitcoin network later this month. This move signifies a significant shift in stablecoin utility and could expand Bitcoin's functionality, providing new avenues for crypto transactions.
The integration of USDT on Bitcoin will leverage the RGB protocol, allowing for private transfers and native swaps between BTC and USDT. Utexo co-founder Viktor Ihnatiuk stated that the company has secured a commercial license and will offer developers APIs and SDKs for seamless integration into wallets and exchanges.
This expansion could significantly impact trading volume and order book dynamics across major exchanges, with traders keen to observe how this development unfolds, especially regarding its implications for Bitcoin's role in decentralized finance.
