Utexo to Launch USDT on Bitcoin, Ethereum's zkAPI Debuts, and Stable Integrates with Visa Direct
Tether-backed Utexo plans to issue USDT on the Bitcoin network this month, with Viktor Ihnatiuk, co-founder of Utexo, stating that the firm has obtained a commercial license to do so.
Utexo uses the RGB protocol and Bitcoin's UTXO model, keeping most transaction data off-chain. The company focuses on private USDT transfers, direct swaps between native BTC and USDT, and native BTC-collateralized lending without wrapping BTC onto other blockchains.
The Ethereum Foundation and Open Anonymity have launched zkAPI, which uses zero-knowledge proofs to decouple API usage from payment identity and is now live on the Ethereum mainnet.
Base's third mainnet upgrade, Cobalt, has introduced Validity Transactions and multiple B20 asset features, including Composite Policies and Schedule Multiplier Updates.
Stable has integrated with Visa Direct, connecting its stablecoin settlement infrastructure to Visa's global money transfer network, enabling real-time payments to bank accounts and mobile wallets.
