Utorg iPhone App Launch Clouded by Inconsistent Official Statements
Utorg has released its iPhone app, Utapp, which bundles self-custody wallets, cards, and gasless swap features. However, official statements about the app's availability and functionality are inconsistent across different channels.
The company's personal page states that the iPhone operating system is 'coming soon,' but a press release issued on July 30 claims Utorg has over 2 million users across more than 130 countries.
Utorg's terms of service describe the app as non-custodial wallet software, where users directly control their private keys and assets. Purchases, card top-ups, and swaps are connected to third-party payment and liquidity providers.
The card service is not issued directly by Utorg, but rather in collaboration with Chain Valley Sp. z o.o., Wirex Pay, Wirex Limited, or related affiliates. The swap functionality uses the deBridge protocol for gasless swaps on seven networks, including Ethereum (ETH), Polygon, Binance Smart Chain (BSC), Optimism (OP), Arbitrum (ARB), Avalanche (AVAX), and Solana (SOL).
