Valkyrie Fund Offers Fee Advantage Over Rival ETF
The Valkyrie Bitcoin Fund (BRRR) offers investors a fee advantage over its main competitor, BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT). BRRR has a 0.00% Total Expense Ratio, significantly lower than IBIT's 0.25%. However, the fund's assets under management are relatively small, at $433.35 million, compared to IBIT's massive $70.6 billion.
Despite its smaller scale, BRRR has been trading for almost a year, since January 10, 2024, and has seen significant activity with a 1-day volume of 9.64K and an average daily volume of 93.21K. However, this is still much lower than IBIT's massive volumes.
When comparing performance, both funds have seen similar losses over the past year, with BRRR down 35.18% and IBIT down 21.53%. The volatility for both funds is also relatively close, with BRRR at 13.64% and IBIT at 13.71%. However, the maximum drawdown for IBIT is slightly lower, at -53.30%, compared to BRRR's -53.33%.
